Chandigarh,memorabilia

I remember with much reverence,those times when in winter evenings we (my wife Devasena,2 kids and my late father) walked to and fro from our home at sector 15 to sector 17,Chandigarh decked in warm clothes.Some window shopping,some actual buying,some scoops of icecream for kids and finally dinner at Sindhi restaurant/Hot millions which ever is less crowded.We preferred Sindhi( vegetarian) even though we are hard non -veggies for its quality.We used to put our legs out by 7.30 pm after another day of evening rounds at PGI Endocrinology department.As grand rounds by HOD are on Fridays,we were psychologically relaxed by that evening!!!!!What a wonderful colleagues and friends(SRs, even JRs) i had. Ajith is the best Endo SR with whom i had worked with. We used to bunk some evenings on Friday/Saturday alternatively.I utilized such moments to spend time with family though as an SR i don't have many bucks.Yet the most memorable moments of my Chandigarh part is that walk.When we reach home its usually 11.00 pm; yet we find it is the safest city in India where one can roam even alone ,leave alone unpolluted,pleasant breeze all over.
